Day 268: Easter in Southern Maryland

Now that Easter is right around the corner, there is plenty for you and your family to do in the area!

Here are only a few of the things I’ve come across:

#1: Eggstravaganza, March 23rd at 12pm, at the Hughesville Volunteer Fire/EMS Department.
Event will include, lunch – Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Chips, and Drink; Egg Hunt, Pony Rides, Fire Slide, Crafts, Games, Cotton Candy, and Popcorn!
Cost: $10 children ages 10 and under; $5.00 per adult for lunch

#2: Calvert Community Church’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt, March 23rd at 11am
Event will include prizes, games, and plenty of eggs for everyone; Lunch will be provided.
Cost: FREE for children from birth to fifth grade!

#3: 30th Annual Easter Egg Festival, March 30th at 9am, at the Leonard Hall Recreation Center
Event will include, egg hunt, photo with the Bunny, musical entertainment, egg decorating contest, raffles, arts & crafts vendors, concessions & so much more!
Cost: $4 per child. Be sure to purchase your tickets ahead of time!
**For egg decorating contest: ages 3 & up, eggs are judged on artistic ability & originality. All eggs must be decorated at home and registered the day of the event by 10:00am**
