If you love local history and unique hand made items, Cecil’s Old Mill is the place to check out! It was originally built as a cotton/textile factory in the 1800’s and was later transformed into a grist mill and saw mill. After restoration, Cecil’s Old Mill has become a National landmark in Historic St. Mary’s County and is home to some of the finest local arts and crafts in Southern Maryland.
This year they are showcasing a large selection of Amish goods, new artists, crafters, and The Scrapbook Nook – a place for scrapbook supplies, rubber stamps and everything for paper crafting. They also host a Farmers Market during the growing season. They just held their opening weekend, so make time to go check them out! They are also raising money for the Mill with a rubber ducky fundraiser that runs through June 1st.
