St. Mary’s Animal Welfare League (SMAWL) is holding their annual Animal Fair on Saturday, May 7th at the St. Mary’s County Fairgrounds. Attended by over 1,200 people and their pets each year, it makes for a fun day for owners and their furry pals to play and shop together. There will be a bunch of demonstrations going on throughout the day, a pageant and contest for pet King and Queen, a Woof it Down contest, kids games, and a pet parade!
Even people who don’t yet have a pet should come out for the day. There will be animals available for adoption from multiple rescue groups at the fair, as well as a silent auction to benefit SMAWL. There will be microchipping available onsite so you can be sure that your old or new friend will be safe.
