Day 101: Easter Events in Southern Maryland

I know a lot of people may be looking for fun, family friendly activities for Easter, so I decided to compile a list of a couple events going on in our area.  If you know of any others or would like to make a shout out for an event you are holding, let me know or post it in the comments!

Easter Egg Hunt Extravaganza: 7365 Indian Head Hwy, Bryans Road, MD 20616

Saturday, April 16th, 11am-1pm:  Bring your Easter egg baskets for this Easter Egg Hunt Extravaganza!  The Easter eggs in the hunt are filled with candy and toys, and there are 12 secret prize eggs.  Top three prizes include gift cards to Chik-Fil-A, and a grand prize of a “free night at the movies” for family of four!  They will be serving free drinks and popcorn, and will have a moon bounce!

11th Annual Easter Egg Roll: La Plata United Methodist Church

Saturday, April 16th, 10:30am-1:30pm:  Sponsored by the Society for the Friends of Hospice, this event will have an Easter egg hunt and egg roll, moon bounce, petting zoo, visit with the Easter Bunny, games, face painting, raffle, and box lunches.  Tickets are $15 for children and adults.  For more info or to make reservations, contact Colleen Wilson at 301-934-1268.

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny: Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department

Sunday, April 17th, 8:30am-11:30am:  Delicious breakfast including eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes, french toast sticks, tatertots, biscuits, juice, milk, and coffee.  There will also be Easter egg hunts at 9:30am and 11:00am, pictures with Grandma Bunny, and arts and crafts.  Children 3 and under are free; ages 4-8yrs $4; ages 9+ $8.  Reservations aren’t required but are appreciated.  Call 301-399-1713 for more info or to make reservations.
