The Patuxent River Naval Air Museum is hosting a very special dinner event with Astronaut and Senator John Glenn as the guest of honor on April 13th, 2011 in Lexington Park, MD
Aside from being the first American to orbit the earth, he’s also been the oldest astronaut to ever orbit the earth at the age of 67 in 1998. He flew dozens of combat missions as a pilot during WW2, set a 1957 trans-continental speed record, and served four consecutive terms as a US Senator from Ohio. Mr. Glenn is one of the ultimate American hero’s, with an unrivaled record of service to our nation.
This is going to be a hot ticket event for Southern Maryland, and tickets are running $100/each. In order to apply for an invitation, you can click here. Proceeds will benefit the kickoff of the Patuxent River Naval Air Museum Association’s Capital Campaign Phase II.
